Very sorry to see this but more importantly glad you are OK. Hate to see nice cars damaged. Seems worse when someone else causes the damage. Hope you get sorted and back in a suitable replacement soon.

craig
any idea yet about ow bad the body and chassis is? i reckon best bet is either to brake it and sell the bits or sell the nice CSL interior and then seel the engine and shell for a race car (or make the race car and sell it for CSL cup or other series) |

Fook me Craig, I feel for ya Glad your ok though and that's the main thing. Ring's a scary place for sure, especially with the speeds we get up to in a CSL, and it doesn't help when it's full of numpties who haven't a clue how to drive it. Hope you can salvage something out of it.

So sorry to see Craig - hate to see a pride a joy in that state.
I am of the opinion that the car is very repairable though - there's no cracked windscreens and the majority of damage seems to be concentrated on suspension arms and few minor chassis components (and the extensive cosmetic damage). Good luck with your law suit and wish the best outcome for you. |

Yes, it was a certain foreign road where I'm covered TPO only. As said, once everything is done and dusted I'll post a full write up and pictures it was an un-avoidable wrong place and wrong time incidents.
The car doesn't look too bad but the strut tower has come away from the body too (photos to follow) and the windscreen is broken. However all round the engine bay is perfect, thank god... even though it snapped the strutbrace off the mounts the airbox and engine are all fine. I guess it's just one of these set backs in life, I'd like to say the money has come easy but it hasnt I have worked for it and will continue to work hard to fund any future purchases and of course my petrol head obsession lol. |
