Shock !!! Horror !!! but I have to agree with U + it seems such a waste of a car (CSL) just to sit in few short miles worth of rush hour traffic. Each to their own, but I love the fact that I use another car for Daily Donkey work and have the CSL for FUN use, weekend or otherwise Makes me appreciate what a Fantastic bit of Kit the CSL really is |

I use mine as a daily car, but only for 6 months of the year, if that makes sense. The other 6 are spent in Brasil with the car sat in the garage. I cannot justify having 2 cars lying about the house while I spend half my life out of the country so I just have the CSL. I use it for everything, and the boot WILL take half a dozen bags of post mix which I had to run down to the town for in the summer as an emergency. So, my worries of stuff falling through the floor have long gone!
It is a great all rounder, I couldn't have done that with a Porsche or something similar. Especially having 4 seats and a good boot. The trip to Ireland and back there last week really brought my love for the car back to the surface, apart from the speeding fine but hey, part and parcel I suppose. |

I take it you seen a CSL sat at the side of the road after being tugged by the Plod in Eire? |

That bit of the A77 is a real no no as far as plod, but a lovely piece of road ! Didnt see a CSL in Eire, but be warned about that particular bit of road mate, got caught there in my Volvo T5 giving it the beans on a skinny spacesaver tyre ! Load of bollox that the max speed on them is 55mph... did 130 no probs !

I feel sorry for my car after reading this thread, i've not driven my car now for over 3 months. I only drive it on weekends and if the weather is bad it stays indoors. My regular run around is a MK5 Golf R32.

I do intend to take the car abroad and maybe even try a track day and see how it goes so the car certainly won't be stuck in town 100% of the time, no way |

Mine is used every day for a 70 mile commute, well it was until I broke my hand last week and now I'm not allowed to drive...
Anyway, once I removed the Miltek exhaust it's been geat to commute in. The HiFi is rubbish but the induction noise makes up for that. The seats are comfy once adjusted to suit and the ride is better than the 335i on 19" runflats I swapped for it. For me I'm not bothered about the miles as it will still depreciate less than a modern car and be much more fun. Driving it every day is like always having the toy at the right time to enjoy the right mood / road. I have a nice weather toy stashed away for fun use, but can't be arsed to get it out as the weather is never nice and I realisticaly just don't have time to go out of my way to use it. Just my thoughts... |
