I get to look after the CSL as my father-in-law has too many cars and too little space! It drives so well it makes me wish I'd returned mine to standard and used it as an everydayer instead of buying an M3.... it was KW and AP'd.

Glad to hear that a few of the previous owners are still "known" within the community and personally I don't see it as an issue as each time I buy a new car, the first thing I do is spend a load of money making it perfect!

It's clearly had a little paint but it drives better than any of the 4 or 5 CSL's I've had a chance to experience including my old low owner/mileage one.

Cheers

Simon

Hi Simon

Good chatting to yourself the other night!

See you say you had KW on a CSL, how did that make the car differ over stock would you say?

Good to catch-up with you too.

I haven't yet got S88 on circuit so I can only comment for road use.

In my opinion the standard car rides much better and I am suprised it doesn't seem to roll - I thought this was something that the KW had sorted on my old one but I guess they've got beefier anti roll bars than standard M3's.

The standard brakes are adequate for road use but I expect they will wilt on track. My old AP set-up had pagid RS29 pads which were too harsh for the road - they were grabbie when cold.

Overall without the KW set-up it makes for a much better road car and unless it is floaty on circuit I would personally not consider going to the expense of upgrading the suspension.
