A guy from Belgium who i known has selling a LHD CSL for 26k sterling, the prices are not that different as you should think. In Europe there is a big difference with the warranty and there is also the asking and selling price.
A csl is a great car so keept or sell it to me for a bargain

It's not so long ago that people reckoned they wouldn't dip below 25k, then they'd never hit 20k... come on, it's just a car! It's going to depreciate just like most other cars, and selling anything in the current climate is going to result in daft offers.. I've had bids from 12k to 17k off traders for my M3.

Best think you can do is just use the bloody thing and feck the depreciation
Agree with the last point but if you want a good idea as to the long term price target of the CSL just take a look at what E30 M3 EVOs are selling for. It makes no sense at all that the CSL will depreciate long term and if I had not got one already I'd certainly be tempted now while they are still cheap.

I think thats a difficult one...I'm not sure if you can put a CSL in the same catagory as an E30 M3...The E30 will always be the definative M car and a car designed for motorsport with a great heritage and a history of winning races where as the CSL was built as a road/track day car....it just doersn't have the motorsport race winning pedigree.....Don't get me wrong I'm not putting th CSL down as it's a fantastic car and yes I believe if you hang onto a good one and keep the miles low it will make you money but that will be a fair few years yet......I also think that the CSL will be remembered as the last great 'M' car which will help residuals...BMW don't make em like this anymore and with all the legisation probably will not ever again. God just look at the latest range..a bloody 4 x 4...what the hell is going on.

Its true... but now is now and what about 10 years...nobody can tell it. Maybe the taxes are just that high that you buy it for a bargain or the other way is also possible.
Electric cars are coming thats for sure, if those are a good value the other cars will falling down in prices.Enjoy it while you drive it!!!!

So I guess the hassle was worth it.

Shame, I guess there should be a code word so you can weed out the numpties from prospective CSL buyers to prove genuine interest
