And Nick Trott in the editorial says nice things about the CSL, and then says it would get 'murdered' round a track by an RS3...

A work colleague has just ordered the new RS3. On paper looks mighty.

If Audi can't produce a car to beat the CSL after 15-20 years of technological advancements then the entire design team should be axed.

Lets see what the residuals are on the RS3 in 2018

Audi have never set out to "beat" the CSL. They've competed in different arenas. Looking at racing, his do BMWs fare against the R8 LMS cars or DTM? That's where you can make comparisons.

There's never been an Audi with the design brief to beat a CSL.

What's interesting is that BMW M division have aspirations with the M2 CSL/GTS to battle the GT4... Audi with their a3 club sport concept would be a close call. Unfortunately it'll only stay as a concept. Mega car...
