But be careful, I hear they don't pay out as much as they quote when they actually see the car. No sat nav, no cup holders, not even an airbag in the doors = Sharp intake of breath and £000s knocked off the valuation |

The best 5K you will ever save.....and come re sale you'll avoid the inevitable hassle of trying to sell a compromised example in a market of potential owners who are 100% OCD buyers!! |

£15k for one that needs a lot of work or with a blown engine or something similar is not out of the question... Granted you could break one for £15k... But let's face it - who can be bothered? I know I couldn't... |

all good advice.
I did look at the CS, but when you just happen to be happily driving down the road, and a csl randomly pulls up next to you . you feel bad ;0( Plus the best bit for me is the side profile with the front spoiler, and boot lid, so it would be missing on the Cs, as well as the air box induction noise. I just have been into M3's for my whole life, been the E36 registrar, wrote articles about them, been an Ebay reviewer, had my car featured in the BMW Magazine, even driven BMWs heritage fleet CSL, but never been able to reach that extra bit to buy one, so been buying cars that "would do" So now, I'm borrowing the wife's peug, and seeing if I can hold out, and keep my cash in the bank, until one comes alone. I have managed by some clever accounting to get my pot to 18K, but that's it for now, tapped out, and that's hoping no more of my kitchen appliances break, and my old cat doesn't have to go to the vets again this month..... Ill just wait, and hopefully something may come out the wood work. And I believe the last CSL that was broken was bought by the dismantler for 13K. again, thanks for the comments, and hope to be a CSL owner / driver soon. cheers John |

I am surprised how 8/10 owners got a better deal than PX with them, but then again, 8/10 owners said their cats preferred whiskers ! but who ever actually asked the cat?

Buy another E36 GT2, you have has number 1 and 42, they are a lot rarer than CSL's and ill sell you number 38 if you want. Its been garaged for 3 years so far..!
