Salt build up from roads caused corrosion on the ali body and it snapped, easy to protect against this happening but yours are ti so no issue anyway.

Here are a few pictures of that day back in August 2008, it was a most unpleasant experience! especially as some regulars may remember there was a lovely white 430 scud there at the time that i nearly hit as it went snap.
