They're certainly desirable and I would like one.

Sellers will always ramp prices and buyers will always try bring them down.

It looks good and is held in high regard. But, it's smg box holds it back and by end of summer more will be on the market as usual. Bmws don't typically appreciate like Porsches.

I don't think they will lose much money, if rates start going up then money will come out of cars as quickly as it has been going in. Who knows what will happen - July 8th budget announcements will tell us a lot.

We haven't a crystal ball, just enjoy them gents

Disagree with your reasoning

CSL's are historically bought by enthusiasts who run the car in the fine season's and then sell up in the autumn.
SMG gearbox has nothing to do with the increase in CSL's for sale toward the end of the year.

I do agree that SMG isn't for everyone but the vast majority of CSL owners are more then happy with their paddles.

Agreed.

I was never sure about the smg as so many bad opinions of it.

Having used it I find it great and wonder if most criticism comes from people who've never tried one but love jumping on bandwagons.

The smg is part of the character of a CSL.

Also agree. If it didn't have SMG would the word "slur" exist?

Maybe I'm wrong then gents. But, most cars that appreciate tend to be a manual transmission.

But, who knows.

Buy one and enjoy it

Sorry, I meant a traditional manual gearbox with a clutch.

But we are splitting hairs now

There's no maybe about it 99.9 % of CSL owners get on with SMG after a few weeks of training
It compliments and ads to the whole CSL experience and as Shimmy already said CSL is a Manual... it's what the M in SMG stands for

I would have sold years ago if it was an old school manual
