Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) Removed
BMW puts in place to limit the flow of hydraulic fluid to the clutch, supposedly to minimize stress to the components. It was introduced around the same time BMW began offering included service that covered clutches.
It does make the clutch take-up/engagement somewhat unpredictable and sluggish at times, making for a sometimes jerky ride. DIY takes about 20 minutes, and you'll need somebody to help you bleed the clutch fluid after you're done. You'll need an 8mm socket, a small flat blade screw driver, a 10mm wrench, and possibly a little bit of hydraulic brake fluid. What a differance this makes this is the part Email me at k13csl@aol.com and i will send you the guide inc pictures |

I don't think my 1M has any "slow" clutch problem judging by the traction light flashing |

Fair enough, I have not done on the 1M, but have on the Z3MC and although I can't say it made any difference in acceleration at all what I did find is that after a long journey it made the clutch less spongy
But that was changing the rubber hose and removing the valve at the same time. I can't detect a delay in my 1M clutch to be honest. But I am running over 400 torques so that may compensate I suspect. |

I need to do this to my Z3M Roadster as SSS mentioned, once hot finding a gear can be a bit of an issue with the standard setup. Must look up a braided clutch line too.
