Over 60k Miles, what gives?

Just reading another thread on BMW's Warranty and have seen again that the price of the warranty shoots up at 60,000 miles (unless you're on the direct debit i think

).

Just wondering why this is. I know that many parts will be designed for a certain life period, so i can only assume that BMW know that something failry major has a life of about 60,000 miles

For those who are over 60,000 miles, what kinds of issues have you had? is there a recurring theme?

Living in London, £1,000 for a the comp warranty is worth it, as the CSL does seem to throw up little niggles and labour rates are

, but i'm not sure whether £2,200 odd would be worth it.
