New CSL Owner looking for some knowledge
Hi guys, let me introduce myself. My name is Jan and I'm form Czech Rep. I had M3 E46 since 2005 and than Nissan GT-R since 2008. Now I decided to leave the hyper powered japanies technic and come back to something more simple but with bigger soul and fun inside, yes CSL. I just got a piece with roughly 60kkm at the odo in very nice condition and now I'm looking what to do:
Maintenance: - plan to do Inspection II and change all fluid include tranny and diff oil - probably have to check bushings and bearings? - what else should i check and change? Mods: - the car will definitely not be daily driver, it will be used for: Alps passes, Nordschelife couple times a year and some local roads on weekends I'm 100% sure I have to change the brakes /looking to Movit's or Brembos/ a little thinking about Movits Cabon ceramic /will see the offers/ I'm not sure if to switch to some coilovers. My previous M3 had TCK coils, RTAB from powerflex and some other mods, but the CSL suspension is way better tuned than stock, so not sure if it make sense. last mod I think is to lost more weight but not sure if there is some chance, my car has AC, Radio and xenon lights but these options I don't want to remove. But maybe there is some Titan or other super light exhaust on the market. And maybe You know some other chances to make it even lighter... for daily I have other car and for short tracks like Brno really special track machine so the point is not to do an extreme track machine, just to make it more competitive at Alps and Ring to GT3s etc thank You all ps.
