Default Sorting out the subframe issue

Hi all, I need to replace the cracked subframe on my CSL.

Are people welding plates to the original or replacing it completely? I imagine if I took it to a BMW dealer they'd only replace it with a revised OEM part but an independent would weld it?

I am based in SW London and ideally looking for a good independent to carry out the work. If you have any recommendations, I'm all ears. Thank you.
