Porsche 996 GT2 - thoughts

Bit late to the party on this, however, thoroughly recommend them. Very pure and raw car, of which I really can't see them making again. I know it's a term that gets used a lot but steering feel etc. are superb.

Get them set up well (comments above re Chris at CoG are spot on) and they are a blast to drive.

Consumables very similar to a 996 turbo (radiators etc.) apart from that they are very reliable and very fast. Also less "shouty" than the newer GT models which in my eyes makes them easy to pootle about in, without being gawped at. Most people think they are a 996 turbo. Trick is finding one that hasn't been crashed. Mine is undergoing a thorough restoration at the moment (I never liked my bank balance
