Default Adaptive lights

This is worth checking if your 1M has adaptive lights
the control unit is fitted under the light it is worth checking there is no water getting in it.

How to check i will do the drivers side it is the same on both

1) Jack up the car and remove the front wheel.

2) Then remove the 3 8mm bolts down the edge of the wheel arch to bumper
then the 2 on the top of the wheel arch.

3) Remove the access panel from the wheel arch.

4) Pull out the arch from the bumper to gain access to the bottom of the light toy will see 2 torque screws holding the controller in place remove the screws.

5) Then put your hand under the controller and pull it towards you where you removed the screws from.

6) Check there is no water or corrosion on the connections.
if its good just clean the rubber gasket and refit but check it every 6 months as its not covered by warranty

This is the part and where it is fitted there is one on each light.
