Pork or chicken?

So I've spent the day looking at a Gen 1 997 GT3 and a Gen 2. One is at £65k and one is at £85k. As I feared would happen, looking at a Gen 2 has completely now overshadowed the older car. It's sublime. It's also right at the very top of my price range and so I'm a prime candidate for chickening out instead of just diving in. The fact that I haven't quite sold the CSL yet is sitting on my mind a bit. Plus there's the small issue of not having a garage that I can put the car in - it's going to be on my drive until I move house.

Anyway, my question for the team is: do you think that 997 GT3 prices have topped out? If I go for a Gen 2, am I looking at an appreciating asset (like the CSL) or will it drop like a stone. I'm nervous about this because I lost almost £10k in 9 months on the last 911 I bought.
