Default New member - Oil temp Question

After 12 months of scouring PH classifieds I picked up my SG CSL last week

First chance to take her out for some spirited driving last night. WHAT A NOISE! Raucous doesnt come close! Ive just come from a standard M3 and the difference is unreal.

Anyway after getting her nicely up to temp I gave it the beans on more than one occasion and was surprised, if not a little concerned, to notice the oil temp gauge had risen to 100 after a few minutes. Is this normal? I backed off and took her home with wind slightly taken out of my sails

Can any of you gents shed some light on where the oil temp gauge normally sits when you're out on the roads and even out on track.

Cheers

Dan
