Default Day 3 - 24th May

As we had arrived quite late in the evening the night before, where after getting showered and changed (after having driven 270 miles), we didn't get to see much of the hotel grounds.

However, the morning light revealed a spectacular vista that was completely unexpected given the industrial nature of the surrounding area:

Breakfast was lovely and certainly set us up for the day:

The hotel was lovely and we would definitely stay again.

There was also a great service offered by George who cleaned the windscreens from the many bug splatters .

I wanted to leave by 0900, as there was another long drive ahead and we had the factory tour booked for late afternoon of that day, so couldn't be late (and several of the others were still in bed, a theme that would be repeated through-out ). So just three cars departed at this hour and proceeded to Munich. It was a nice run, cruising most of the way at around 100mph, which the CSL seemed to love, giving unprecidented mpg (around 27) for the speed and time it took to cover the miles.

Arriving in the underground car park, there were already CSLs galore, which was really strange, as you hadly ever see one, let alone a flock of them in one place .

We then parked up, checked in to the hotel, met up with Ben P and made the mad dash across Munich to get to BMW for the factory tour:

We made it just in time, but several didn't, so they ended up managing to go on one of the subsequent days. The tour was very interesting and eye-opening about how automated everything has now become - sadly no photography was allowed on the production line.

Afterwards, met up at the hotel and then went out for food, of which I have no photos of, as got there late and so was too busy talking and eating. Hopefully someone will post theirs up

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .
