yeah pretty much agree with the ninja pity thorney cocked it up the first time around myself I think you can keep things pretty simple it doesnt have to be too expensive, first of all you can use a road legal trackday tyre like the yoko ad08 which comes with 8mm of tread depth so it can be used in the dry and the wet and is approx 2 seconds a lap slower than a cup but will last 2-3times longer. So which would appeal to the road/trackday guys who dont want to buy an extra set of wheels, keep the car on standard wheels (get a set on ebay for £100) as regards suspension you need top mounts, KW and Billstein do a none adjustable set for approx £1000, only upgrade the front brakes KSport do a set for approx£1000. Standard rear brakes are okay with upgraded pads, usual thing like bushes upgraded, weights 1400 kgs fuelled up and if you want to run adjustable front suspension and ap's front and rear the car has to weigh 1450 kgs, so here you go, things can be run on a budget all the above is really to get guys who are doing trackdays and still race in a road legal car, two races a day both 30mins one or two drivers to keep the cost down
