What level is your BMW Insured Warranty & Excess?
As above, I'm looking at getting it sorted and today spoke with BMW to get a quote, must say I'm quite pleased as to how nice they were to speak to and how easy it was to get a quote
Can you vote on the options above and quote which Excess you have, just interested to see people's opinions of what needs covering, I have an incling (sp) as to which one I'm going to go for but just want to see Thanks

Pay mine monthly. £77 and £100 excess for each visit. Starting to wonder what's the point, I only drive it 2.5k miles a year and it hasn't needed to go in yet. Think I've got clutch slip but will give it a good ragging first to see if it goes before sending it in.

I have Comprehensive , buggered if I know why as most of the car is in bits in the Fatherland, or in a box in my workshop ! However, my recent head gasket was covered, and quotes to repair it ranged from £2,500 down to £600, with BMW in the mid range at £1,300. My premium is £87 per month incl. the Tax, so that x 12 months = £1,044 means im in pocket ! Policy excess is £0.
It includes Emergency Service, so im covered twice there as I also have ADAC cover. Extract from the terms and conditions. "The BMW Warranty will not cover - an insured vehicle used for courier or private hire services, track days, off road use, competitions or racing of any kind." I got around this ... I Tippexed it out ! Makes you wonder why BMW have an M Sport department ! |

My BMW Insured Warranty was kindly paid for by the previous owner (THANX Jeff )... Named Components with £250 excess due to my CSL being over 60 000 at the time of renewal. It excludes the Emergency Service but that's OK as I have a Pan European RAC brake down cover as well as ADAC+ Pan European cover (although that's mainly for FREE Nurburgring recovery.) The renewal premium is going to be £1188 when this runs out in Sep. 2010, up from £951 for a Comprehensive, £0 excess cover it had the year before.

Mine got a new Diff last year, an Exhaust bracket (even though its got a Milltek fitted) and something else, which I...oh yeah, an Alarm Siren which took the best part of the day as all the wiper mechanism, airbox and other kinds of stuff had to come out. |
