Not a chance. If they do it it'll be £90k minimum but probably quite a bit more. Don't forget, if they do a CSL they won't throw after market parts at it like the GTS and just make a few hundred. It'll be a proper, bespoke model with loads of special bits and a genuine production run model. It'll be properly special.

I hope it has the impact of our beloved E46 csl. When is the projected release date?

Agree with Alex.....Look at the GTS ....A modern day CSL will be the wrong side of 100k I bet.

Hi,

Given the New Regs due for Europe,
I will be very surprised if a ''Real''
CSL ever see's the light of day again.

In todays' money the E46 CSL would be circa
90k + and the market has changed given
where the economy was in 2003/4 and todays.

And at 100k plus the competition nowdays is
a lot more focused than it was in 2004 for
the 58k price tag.

Regards,

The Gorilla.

Here what I was told when asking for a CSL (showing genuine interest that I want to buy one if they make it).

>
To talk about a „GTS“ Version is very early but BMW M
will always think about high performance cars like the CSL,GTS.

I think there will be Alex. Going by the chat the M guys gave us, they said quite clearly two things:

1. Any CSL model will only be done when they can make a truly bespoke car with lots of special details befitting the CSL badge. The GTS wasn't that and as such was never seen fit to wear the badge.

2. If you guys are wanting a new CSL keep watching because there might be something exciting for you in the next year or so.

I can't see why not Gorilla. OK, the induction noise can't be the same but it would be a platform for lots of lightweight components.

The reply I quoted is from my conversation with BMW M. January or February I will go to Munich to see the M3/M4. They are denying that a CSL or GTS will be made.
I hope they will make one of course because I want to buy it, but I somehow doubt it.
