Think the cheapest I ever seen a CSL go for was 19-20k a couple of years ago before prices really increased and that car was also 100k+ miles.
15k just won't happen, it will either be a none runner, cat d or 150k+ miles. Your gonna need a miracle. |

What a dilemma - an itch that you can't reach!
£15K is relative, in M3 terms it would buy you a good one, however in CSL terms it will buy you very little. The cheapest I've ever seen one was £19,750 SB with 91+K, but that was getting on for 2 years ago. I doubt very much that it would even buy you a 'Cat C' these days as with the cars the cost of parts is on the up also. A Cat D may be broken for spares, rather than fettled back into mobility. My advice would be to reassess your priorities; Daily Driver or CSL (if you can't have both) PS: Nothing wrong with a good low mileage smoker 330/335d, as a daily far more user friendly and comes complete with creature comforts, for the daily commute.

Far be it from me, but £15k would be very difficult as owners of the 293 remaining cars would, I assume, have the nouse to know the cars worth and importance.
Decent E46 M3 + MPSS + BBK must bring you close to the CSL for around £15k? Would u ever use the missing 15-20% anyway? |

Sorry, but my advice is delay the dream, save some more (5k) and get a high miler, straight car.
Anything less is a very risky compromise. |
