Just found this on PH on a discussion about the M135s enhanced cabin sound:

"Yes I've owned many other M's and actually (ironically) I don't like the E46 csl because I think it sounds too digital. I think the single vanos 3.0 e36 was the best sounding of the n/a six cylinders. It just sounded more raw and angry, less controlled/metered."

I've heard it described as many things, but 'Digital' isn't in that dictionary!

Well he's certain of it because:

"I base this on my Z4mc with modified airbox, which sounded pretty much identical."

If only i could get my laptop to convert my gopro vid from brands!ive placed a mic beside the airbox so you can hear the roar as it tears up to 130mph 4th gear along the straight!
