I would say for a 2 day detailing session (inc paint correction) you are looking at £700+, tad expensive imho as there are cheaper and just as good detailers about

I guess it's all relative. I have had other cars detailed before that would have been in the same "before" condition i.e. well looked after and routinely washed and waxed by myself. After the detailer has finished I'm scratching my head wondering why am I handing over cash to someone when my car looks for the most part the same! Whereas when Gurcharn had finished I was blown away. I showed some of my collegues my car after also (who have no interest in cars) and they could not believe the difference either, which for me is the ultimate test. Most "civilians" couldn't care less about their car as long as it looked clean, and would happily bring their car to the local drive through car wash. (yes they had seen it before) And to see their faces after was priceless. So really a thread like this could go on for eternity in my opinion he is the best, having experienced a lot of other recommended detailers, and I'm fortunate that I think he is good value for money. I guess it's just down to opinion after that as you quite rightly pointed out - "imho" |

£700.... ...everyone to their own....but thats just far too much dosh good or not. I could understad someone paying 100k on a car spending that much, but just couldn't justify paying that when at the end of the day the first time you take it out it gets dirty again......again just my opinion.....

@ AndyK
Its not a matter of the car becoming dirty again as it inevitably will... Its the fact that if you maintain correct washing technique even a quick wash will bring the car back to the post detailed shine. You are infact smoothing out the paint when machine polishing, so as long as you top up on wax regulary and wash it correctly it can last 6+ months @ S&B I suppose you do go on peoples reccomendations, and others standards are not always up to your own. I know from being on DetailingWorld for a number of years and machine polishing myself that there are a lot of "chancers" out there who charge the earth for no benefit to the car. However there are some very good detailers in the reasonable price range imo of £350 for a full correction. But if you found a detailer you can trust/happy with then i suppose £700 is ok... just not for me

As said i would pay 200-300 for a top job but 700 is just to much!
Look great tho! |
