Default Newbie looking for a CSL

Hi guys, long time BMW fan here and hoping to get into a CSL.

I have seen an AUC car which seems to add up in the right areas, only one concern for me is the after market exhaust, a cat back system.

First question is will this affect the warranty at all, ie, engine, box etc etc

Secondly, is it (well i know it will be, just how much!) expensive to go back to standard?

Thanks in advance!

The exhaust will be taken off if the car is for sale as an AUC. It has too in order to conform with the AUC warranty.

If it is AUC then surely they will change it back to standard. Exhausts are not covered by BMW warranty anyway unless it is the catalytic converter. I believe the last time I looked at the cost of just the back box it was £600 just far that. There may be some second hand ones on offer here though if you ask nicely.

Best of luck with the search. I am sure someone else will be along for more advice shortly.

if its the one Yanto put a link to I would buy as is, exhaust not cover under warranty and does not effect any claims from cat back.

I am assuming that is a direct order and I should proceed hence forth!

Sooooo, 5 months down the line, Vanos expires, are BMW going to replace the VANOS under warranty and ignore the 'performace' enhancing exhaust?

Does anyone have experience with this sort of claim?

(ps, 30 miles from murketts....)

ELMS I believe is where the guys have moved to

ALso, what are the differences between an M3 exhaust and a CSL?

Would they be temporarily interchangeable while a i source a CSL exhaust?
