I used to know of someone who had one of those but an original race car, not a replica, saw it run once, was incredible!

Hi,
Glendog- Yes, E30 M3 its all done but, decided to take the Drenth out as it was fantastic on ''Track '' but a right nightmare for almost everything else. 2.33 1st gear with the twin plate clutch got interesting when moving it about. Have now gone back to a Getrag M3 5 Speed dogleg, which is OK, but its a little bit short on 1st at 4.22 with a 3.73 CW/p. Just wish I had time to use it more. TrackM3- No the plans for the DTM merc have been changed, as getting parts was becoming stupid. Merc never did customer 190 cars like BMW on the E30 M3, so getting DTM Merc parts was far more difficult than I had hoped, and when you do find parts, they make S14 parts seem very cheap !! The Merc 190 Klasse 1, 94 build, is the beast. Makes a CSL feel slow !! It does not help though that Stuttgart does not even have EVO Cranks,Blocks,Pistons etc, available anymore, and charges 500 euro for just the Evo headgasket, not set, so the plans changed a little. Should be interesting when done though, as its now more road focused. Regards, The Gorilla. |
