Today I helped Daz and Bealo
As both are now teetering on the edge of Pork ownership I thought I'd test out the options.
Spent the whole day at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone with TerryB, Clive and PeteRS off of Opl.co.UK testing their cars on the various circuits. Also a few tutorials and reaction tests as well as computer driving game. We all drove the GT3RSGen2 (low grip circuit), Boxster and Cayman (handling circuit), 911 C2S & C4S (ice hill and kick plate), Cayenne (off road), Panamara 4S (road driving). Supern day, good company and good food. TerryB looked great drifting the RS and was quickest out of 48 on the reactions (I was pretty good too), and I was king of the Le Mans Spider driving Silverstone GP circuit (computer game). So if you boys want to ask any questions, feel free although I have to say, even though Curly will rip me to pieces, the Cayman S with PDK was my star of the day.

I was going to go for one of those days but it was my understanding that you only drove one of the cars. Personally I have no interest in driving the gypsy wagon ie Cayenne, just the GT3/RS

Quote:
The Cayman and Boxster you do quite a few laps of the handling circuit and you get 30 mins road drive in the Panamara. Cayenne is off road course but just one driver of the 4 Rs you get a couple of laps

So you do not get the chance to pay and spend the whole day in the RS. Hmm a little disappointing.

Shimmy,
I have thought of doing one of the 90 minute low grip or handling lessons. What do you think, are the circuits fun? |
