Maybe. Shhh that discussion is not for public consumption just yet. Suffice to say I've had my worst ring trip ever.

Overtaking on yellows and reds - not allowed, no matter who you are or what you are driving. Everyone else obeyed this. The fact they were asked to leave the trackday by the organisers speaks for itself.

I am afraid that I allow myself to get involved in any discussion I want, but thanks for the advice.

I see you blame the Caparo for closing the track and not the fact that there was a pile up which is interesting and suffice to say I don't think the Caparo either caused or was involved in a crash so maybe your anger needs to be channelled elsewhere.

The organisers have said openly that the reason they closed the track was because some cars (the Caparo being one) weren't slowing for the flags, despite the car being across half the track for at least two of my (slow) laps.

There wasn't any need to shut the track, as there was still space to pass slowly, but some cars were apparently still overtaking under flags despite it being made very clear at the drivers briefing that there was to be no overtaking at all under flags.

Here's some nice pictures to look at of me being probably rather offline. All credited to Jochim.

I was there - there was no need for the track to be closed. It was being flagged well in advance, so as long as people respected that, no problem - slow down for the accident, and then carry on your lap after the accident - happy days.

I agree with the organisers, titan and jonnyb - there was no excuse for the caparo driver driving like that. He came past me under red flags at T13, and proceeded to drive past the rest of the pack that I tagged onto the end of.

Hi Guys, sorry to be negative on my first post but when I booked it stated that there would be only 150 cars at the day. Other people told me that their TDO told them there would only be 50 cars on the day.

Having done a TF day I booked this one for the simple reason there would be 150 cars. I only did 2 laps but luckily for me I had Colin Hoad (CAT Driver Training) with me who is an industry trained 'Ringmeister.

The rules went out of the window within 10 minutes of open lapping ie overtaking without consent, in corners, using slicks, over taking on the right.

The Italians were very badly behaved.

I went out on Tuesday evening on the TF session and had a fab time except for the 2 white Clio Cup cars who were driving close together and overtook on the right, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Welcome to the register MMS, so what car were you driving ?

Seems to be a mixed bag of blatant rule abusing as after all it was a marshalled track day, and flags are there for a reason and a load of ego's going wild which is a shame, bad organisation ultimately, this should have been sorted on the day, and the culprits dealt with accordingly

RMA days are good if not a little expensive and RSR do run some additionally so im going to be looking into all options for mine next year.
