Supersprint exhaust and Evolve remap
After a day trip to Luton, Sal brought my car back this evening. Didn't have time to get much more than 10 miles in but obvious improvements have been made over stock.
First the Supersprint. Nice bellow at low revs leading to slightly higher pitched wail approaching the red line. Like it a lot Sounded good through the Galleria tunnel and will sound even better once those stupid average speed cams have been toasted. Had to have new centre section as stock one was rusted beyond usable and know that I was a little speccing the one with the muffler but I didn't want it too loud. So paid more than I planned but happy. Next the remap. When it went in stock this morning, it was dyno'ed at 355. Came back with 367 so not massive gain but as you know this engine doesn't give much more up unless spending goes into a whole different ballpark. Temps were cooler this morning when first reading was taken so I'm pretty pleased with this result. The drivability of the engine is the biggest improvement, definately more urge and faster response and I like the sport button memory too. Lower down power is more instant. Airbox noise a little louder and gearchanges seem smoother and faster. One thing that I'm going to keep an eye on is the oil temp seems to stay higher than before at around 95 whether driving fast or slow. Before it would fluctuate between 75 and 100. Will give more info when I've driven further but initial impression is |
