Underseal and paint?
Anyone know what BMW originally used as their underseal? Its clear it comes as a silver underseal. What can be brought to match the existing OEM silver underseal as I only know of underseal to be black? unless this has been sprayed over the underseal?? and...
While on the subject of Silver. Know the colour code Silver for the interior floorpan etc on a SG? Ta in advance. Last edited by karbonkid; 03-05-2010 at 10:58 PM. |

I'll find out for you Alex - I know just the person to ask about this ...
But from BMW TIS, it says you have to use a HRS Spray gun for body sealing (order no. 81 29 0 300 887) - not sure if that's the spray gun or the undersealing though. |

Okay spoke with my painter friend.
The OEM BMW undercoating is apparently made by Dinitrol http://www.dinitrol.com/index.php?id=52&subcatid=9&L=1 He said that the coating is not body coloured but a very very light yellow coating and then colour sprayed afterwards. Hope that helps. |
