Default Another Alcon Brake Issue .. sort of ...

Okay .. need help again from those running Alcon Brakes.

Specifically the brake pads:

I need a confirmation on pad thickness for the front mono6 calipers.

On Alcon's Catalogue, it states that pad thickness as 18mm for the Mono6 with pad shapes:
Mintex MDB2607
Alcon 4497
Pagid U8028
SBS 3061
Ferodo 3081

Ref: http://alcon.co.uk/Catalog/11.pdf

However all the above pad shapes (well actually only the ones that I can find references to) states that the pad thickness as 16mm

For eg:

Ferodo 3081: FRP3081 152x51x16 mm

Hawk Pads:

With the EXCEPTION of Pagid http://www.braketechnology.com/brakes/8028.html

I know that the 16mm thickness definitely fits - but can someone confirm whether the Pagid is indeed 18mm (those of you with RS29s)??

Does 18mm thickness fit caliper CAR97??

Default

Mystery solved after an email reply from Alcon directly.

Seems there are two versions of this brake pad - in both 16mm and 18mm

The Mono6 comes in different designs and the ones fitting our cars take the 16mm brake pads ..

Damn it .. should have made sure before I ordered them bloody pads
