Default CSL Seat handle

Does anyone know where I can get a Left hand (passenger side UK car) seat plastic handle?

Mine has broken but appears to have been previously broken and repaired a long time ago and not by me as I have owned the car for 12 years now!

Have just heard from BMW and they want to sell me a kit that includes the following:

"INCLUDED: 2X BACKREST UNLOCKING HANDLE 2X CUFFS 2X HEX SCREW M3X6"

All of this for $930 AUD, but all I need is one backrest plastic unlocking handle for the passenger seat!

I am not even sure what the `cuffs` are?!?

Don’t waste your money - just cut down the standard item and drill a hole

I don`t think I can as the part has broken off flush with the back of the catch!

I would share a photo, but cannot get it to upload due to its size!

I am in Australia too, I'll ask for a price from the UK next week as I have some items to ship from a dealer over there.

Unfortunately the rear seat plastic centre console of our car got minor scratches in it by it being sat upside down by somebody not thinking. I was livid at the guy. There goes $2300 as I can't live with it.

Remove the seat side cover so you can access the tiny grub screw that holds it in. You may need to jury rig some sort of grips to pull what is left of the handle down to access the screw. Once the screw is removed, what is left will slide off.

As Tom has intimated the CSL one is just a cut down standard M3 item anyway (with the grub screw retaining hole drilled into it after being shortened). The reason it is so expensive from BMW is you're paying for Hans's labour rates to cut it down and drill instead of you doing it yourself .
