Last time it sold, it was advertised (2012) by NJ at £23,500 this was subsequently reduced to £20,500 before eventually being sold (2013).
There are a few advertised at not dissimilar money which are not Cat D's, draw your own conclusion!

So there's a bit of a mark up since 2013 then!

Does anybody know anything about the car and the circumstances of its dis/reappearance?!

Not a mark up as such... price of all CSLs (including Cat D ones) have slowly but surely moved North since 2013.
2009 was the year for bargain CSLs when they bottomed out price wise but that ship has long sailed
