I too think calling a machine by a name isn't really on.

However this is because when I was younger I foolishly called the purple ford Ka I owned by a woman's name.

Depends if your male or female as a lot of women I've known have had names for cars, blokes not so many, but then I don't hang around with those ones anymore !
