Had ther car 2 weeks, and during the second outing i cooked the brakes..
why on earth would you make such a wonderful peice of automotive engineering and use chocolate brakes. SO, i want to keep the car as original as possible and proably only ever going to do one track day to get a feel for the car. I dont need anything special, just want the brakes to be able to withstand road driving. So would a set of high temp pagids do the job? or is the only way to increase performance to a descent level to put APs on (an option i really dont want to do) Thanks |

Hi mate,i would uprate the brake fluid, use braided brake lines and as you say better pads,Pagid RS29s are probably the best imho, or Performence Friction which i use and are cheaper

Did your pedal stay hard and not stop or did the pedal go to the floor?

well actually i was trying to be soft on them so didnt really press the pedal hard. brakes just wirrred.. after about 3 miles of hard cornering it happend on my exige when u first bought it and changed to pagids. then it never ever failed. was immense. might buy some pagids see how that fairs, but just wanted to know if its beyond improvement with out some aps.. i had A.Ps on my second exige and its only now i appreciate how durable they were. |

Try to answer Lawsy's question. Did they fade or pedal go long?

Hi there.. thanks for this.. i think its the pads.. it doesnt seem to go soft. i think the pads are just very shit. in my first exige the same thing happend and it turned out to be rubbish brake pads, so i think il try to get some pagids and keep standard calipers |
