And you think your week started bad !!
My first phone call of the day, Thorney, not to tell me what sort of week-end he has had, or how well Autosport had gone, or to promise me some tickets for next years show ! ... he called to confirm that my head gasket had gone !! Who would steal such a thing? And from right under his very nose ! Thorney has a big security fence around the whole place ? What would they do with it? I'll not rest until the perpetrators of this heinous crime are bought to book !!! .... just realised its not so easy to type through tears ... on the plus side, I suppose its best found out now rather than after the season starts... brb ..phone ... aaarggh that was Thorney again with the price ! ... and on top of all that, it cost me £90 to fill up the disco with diesel ! Get to office and a brake pipe has gone on one of my fork trucks on site !! more theft ! .. fcuk it i need a ... Happy Monday all.

2 Reading the thread on high lift cams, Im not totally convinced they would be worth fitting. As to new Injectors, coil packs and water pump...they may be worthy of consideration ... fcuk it why not put a new engine in !!! |

I reckon at 60k miles injectors, coilpacks, water pump and sparks are not bad ideas high lift cams maybe not especially for road work |

No real benefit in terms of labour doing cams as head gasket doesn't duplicate a huge amount of the work in cam replacement, plus you'd need to map it to suit. Injectors aren't a bad idea but as we checked these already and all seem to be fine it would be under the 'belt and braces' section of bills really. Swapping out the stock bolts for ARP makes sense but OEM bolts are £30 odd and ARB are £150 or so all adds up.
