Removed my wheels to clean them today . . . . .

My CSL doesn't get to live in a garage these days, and I'd not washed it since an outing just before Christmas.

Yesterday I noticed that the discs and calipers were being affected by the large amounts of salt being spread on the road recently.

I decided this afternoon to remove the wheels, clean them properly inside and out and then to jet wash inside the wheelarches and give the discs and calipers a good rinse off too.

I started on the N/S/F wheel and used Autoglym wheel cleaner to bring it up like new. As I flipped the wheel around to start cleaning the back of it something caught my eye . . . .

I'd "assumed" that because the tread level on the outside of the tyre was above the wear indicators, the inside would be too. Seems not !

Not sure how long it's been like this, but the last geo was carried out by Sytner when they replaced the diagonal arms on the rear of the car under warranty. The handling was "different" after they'd done it (put bluntly I preferred the previous fast road non-BMW setup that I'd had applied elsewhere)
I wonder did Sytners setup have more front end camber for the fitment of Cup tyres ?

Could someone tell me what the standard front camber setting is ?

think its about -1.5

i wouldnt run anything more aggressive on a daily drive CSL

I'm no expert, but that looks like its the toe settings, perhaps a little toe out.

If it was the camber there would be a smoothness across the inside edge of the tyre, but looking at your tread on the inside it seems fine.

The more I think about it the more I think you've got some toe out. Get the geo looked at asap.

I agree, the wear is somewhat strange as it's very localised on the very inside edge.

Yeh, its a toe setting thats causing that maybe its out?
