Smiling faces and SB verses SG
First outing of the year yesterday in the black cesil, only a quick run to get my daughter from school, got to ease into it! I'd forgot how much attention these cars gets, had someone driving behind me taking pictures then stopped to fill up and had thumbs up from two chaps and another walking around it with a big smile on his face, I presume because he'd seen a CSL. It could be that more people know what a CSL is with all the talk of value. It could also be the fact it looked absolutely bloody stunning!
That leads me onto SB v SG, I've never been sure what colour I prefer, I thought it was SG but I've never seen a cesil looking so mean and stand-outish as looking back at my black car across the petrol station. Also got to blast of the cobwebs on a dual carriage way |

Really? Nobody seems to notice it round here, most I've ever had is some snarky comments from an estate agent, but then again prior to this I'd been driving a Noble round for the past 6 years... Almost literally everyone on the street would look at that, take pictures, a few near crashes etc.
Are you sure you don't have a massive cock scratched into the rear bumper? My puma gets about the same attention as the CSL does.

There was me feeling all warm and happy about CSL ownership, I'm trying not to let that be nullified Chappers. I shall go into the garage to check the back bumper for a huge cock. Perhaps you should get a good size penis and see if they start noticing you more.

I can't tell if I've offended you or not somehow... Just recounting my experience that most people don't seem to see it as anything but another grey BMW. It's one of the main reasons I left Noble ownership was to get rid of some of the attention, the CSL provides just as much fun with way more anonymity.

Ignoring the fact that I had others admiring my car I'm sure my high was due to me not getting to drive the CSL as much as you do yours. It could also go some way to answering the SB verses SG question, the car genuinely stood out like a beacon in SB and certainly didn't look like another grey BMW. |

You, and my girlfriend's recent purchase of a black-on-black Z3 have made me wish my CSL was black with black wheels too. My puma is black with black wheels, we'd have quite a team going.
But you know what they say... a CSL in hand is better than no hands at all.

Everyone who notices my sg is in a M3 or m5 and usually on a petrol station fore court.
One of the lads who works for me used it to go to his wedding and then ended up explaining for the rest of the day what was special about it. He now calls it a car bores car. Only true petrol heads (and m3/m5 owners) know what it is.
