CSL Airbox foam strip disintegration and replacement
The foam strip that sits between the air collector and the unfiltered air housing has disintegrated.
This has left quite a lot of movement at the bottom seam of the two halves, where the short metal pins mate with the unfiltered air housing (the right hand bit). Even with the four screw tightened on the top of the box. I am worried that it eventually break around the pin locating holes. Do BMW sell a replacement strip? This cannot be the first case of the foam strip decaying away over time, what have you guys done to fix it? |

There is similar information in another thread. I bought this foam some time ago... I can post later on if you don't find it. |
