Running suspension to low
This is what happens when you go though the fox hole at 150mph+
Even the ride height was , as recommended by KW of 330mm from centre of wheel to top of wheel arch |

Ooops! Not good - I don't even know what ride height my KWs on the car are set to! Should get that checked I suppose!

I'll be taking advice on my Intrax ride height as well! What were the dampers set to?

Foxhole at 150mph imposes a load you wont get anywhere else, so it seems a shame to alter the entire set up for one corner.
If you're finally happy with the set up, why not just get rid of the liners, or is that a bit pikey |

Your comment reminds me of the Foster's ad, were the "sheila" puts a bottle of brandy in the back of the pickup full of cans of Fosters and the wheel fall. LOL I have now increased the front by 5mm and I will over winter, go on a diet. It is more noticeable when I take a passenger. Last edited by TANKSLAPPER; 04-10-2009 at 11:15 AM. |

I agree with this. When I first had my KW V3s fitted in 2006 the exact same thing happened to me - but when I brought the car back to the UK to claim for the side airbag that deployed on its own accord, it was rejected because the warranty area manager guy saw the liner wear and claimed the airbag deployment could have been caused by my aftermarket suspension - after all look at the damage its done to the wheelarch liner

I have just changed over to KW club sport's, at the same time put an 1/2 cage in, which stiffen the car up. You may be right on the bump settings. KW recommendations are to set halfway for bump and rebound which I started from. I set the rear to KW's recommendations this was to stiff and couldn't get the power down. I soften the rear by 3 click which I feel is much better now. I only just soften the front by, only 2 clicks too get a little more grip on turning in. I though a slighly soft front would help this. I am still play with the set up. I was running 3 degrees front camber & 1.25 rear, when I first put them on. I found under hard braking the ABS would come in and the inside tyres wear was excessive. I then changed it to 2.25 front 1.25 rear and got understeer and the front outside where get fooked I'm now back to 2.75 front and 1.75 rear If you know of any particular settings which you have found to be good on the Ring for a sub 8 min er BTG, then I would grateful to know. |

What toe settings are you running? I've never had inside tyre wear problems on the ring due to camber alone.
