I bought a 1M....
as a daily driver and have to admit that it is very nice.
I was unsure of the looks initially, but it's grown on me. It will be improved by lowering it slightly as there is just too much air over the front tyres. But as a daily driver that I will find comfortable, enjoy nice toys like Harmon Kardon stereo and bluetooth connectivity, heated seats and have fun driving when I'm in the mood, then it seemed to tick the boxes So I picked her up on Tuesday last week I averaged 34mpg on the journey home, although it was slow moving and no chance to really boot it too much. In the last week, done lots of research on 1Addicts.com which has it's own 1M forum now. Lots of talk from the USA and a little from the UK. But one guy decided he was going to get his remapped by DMS in Southampton, so I went over there last week to see how he got on. Then I thought maybe I should do the same....... For the record, BMW quotes 335/370 as standard figures. Mine made 380/420 before the remap. This isn't a dodgy dyno as everyone has reported better figures than BMW claim and it certainly explains why it feels so ridiculously fast. Anyway, after the remap mine made 415/475 Unfortunately it then rained all afternoon, so not yet had a chance to see how this feels, but I will do soon and will report back. Anyone thinking of getting one then go and test drive one - they are much more than just a tarted up 135 |

Terry, are you still small enough to get in it?
Well done mate, I'd love to ride shotgun with you to feel how it goes. Nice choice. Have you still got the GT3?

I'm sure there is as much room for people inside the car as there was in the CSL. I'll certainly take you out in it one day - it is ballistic mate |

I often thought about a 1M, those figures are Epic mate and I'm sure the cars goes like *a swear word*
I don't need a Daily car, but the Wife does. Maybe once we're in our new house. The CSL isn't going anywhere, that's for sure. Last edited by sailorbaz; 01-12-2011 at 10:54 PM. Reason: for being a tool and getting people mixed up... old age. |
