As above, anyone use these, do they actually make a real world difference and are they worth it? Thanks ![]() |

Only really useful if you run a bumper with brake ducting running from it (like the CSL Cup cars). We tend to be all old school and run a hose to the back of the disk/hub as there is no fixings at all on the hub to avoid any extra stress with fitting etc. We supply TMS stuff now so I would imagine it works well (a lot of their stuff does) but we dont both on our race cars and for a track day car I'd say it was overkill unless you had a CSL Cup style front bumper.

liek john says you will ned double holed bumper ideally but as ive never had a cooling issue witht eh APs on track days no point - maybe with stock brakes it might pay dividends |

Fair enough guys, I'm leaning towards a BBK anyway I think, just wondered if these were worth it but might just bite the bullet and buy a big kit, buy once, buy right and all that! lol

You can cut two holes in the bottom plastic engine tray and put 2 NACA ducts there and run the tubing from there to the back of the hubs/disc - I've seen it done in the USA from those with the CSL bumpers - I'll see if I can track down a photo - personally I thought that was quite clever!!
Found them!! Although he didn't use NACA ducts ... but works the same nevertheless. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Perhaps something like this can be fabricated? Maybe a carbon fiber undertray with the NACA ducts moulded? Thorney?? ![]() And brake cooling does make a huge difference to our cars - the CSL front bumper is really poorly designed in terms of any form of brake cooling ... Here's some empirical evidence from the States by Preeth before he was banned from m3forums: Quote:
