Anglesey today
Great day was had by me and Radders, eventually decided on Cups (mine brand new) Left Radders cottage in Llangollen at 8am to be greeted by lashings of sleet and snow. WTF????? The CSL went sideways with a hint of throttle going over white lines, truly scary!!
Must admit, was slightly dissapointed with the grip levels of the CSL compared to mine and Radders E36 M3 trackcar, but as the day wore on I altered my style to eradicate largely the understeer, and really enjoyed the day. Oh, brakes, mine standard, Rad on AP's. Braking was much the same, with me on DS3000 pads. BIG difference was that through the day I gradually "lost" the pedal, and the brakes now judder like a good un. The just will NOT withstand abuse such as I dish out. Shagged my Cups in one day And it bollocked the fuel down it like Georgie Best gulping champagne in a titty bar Cheaper using the Strad!!! some pics.... Looks like a great day was had and I can't believe you've gone through a set of Cups in one day!!! When you add that onto the fuel and cost to get on track it can be an expensive day out right enough...but who cares, its such great fun.
I was just looking at the next day at my Local track after I get home, 15th May, WOOHOO! |

Looks like you had a good day :-)
Tom Schirmer in Germany told me the Cups are designed for a certain amount of negative camber, quite high 3 degrees or thereabouts I think I recall. Reason I mention this is because I've never gone through a set of Cups in only 1 trackday (I run about -3.5), so I wonder if because the std CSL is 1 or 1.5 degrees negative when taken on track and given a good skelping that's what's causing you to wear them out? Obviously toe out would affect them as well, but I presume your running standard Geo? Just a thought, I could be wrong |
