Default Front Hub woes :(

Quick quezzie?

Is there a recognised Helicoil Kit for a Front Hub thread repair?

Or is it as I suspect a new item?

Gone to studs on hub easier to put wheels on, then just carry spare nuts if needed.

never quite understood the "easier to put wheels on" arguement........never had a problem putting them on..

Agree studs mean no need for change in bolt length with different spacers and wheels

Andy

had a wheel stud that refused to torque up @ Spa in October

removed the stud to find the hub thread still on the end of the stud

just wanted advice on whether a heli-coil repair would be up to it.

Just change it. Front hub and wheel bearing.
