Default Oh my goodness......

I love the CSL, but look at this for a triple header for a straight swap......three of my absolute favourite cars ever in all the right versions....raider, non-sunroof GTi (purer 1.6) in right colour, unmolested impreza....the stars just don't align in this way......ever. Or as an iaddition, surely better than cash in bank?

I had an Impreza in reddish blue and 1.9 Gti in Miami Blue. Missed R5.

But all of these tick my desired spec for each. The R5 particularly I've wanted for many years. Then they all come at once !!

All very nice. I would need more storage space to do them justice, couldn't keep them outside but only have garage space for 2.

Seriously tempted Peter. You just don't see these opportunities very often...in this spec, unmolested and with these miles.

Sounds like someone is having a mid-life crisis, reviving past memories of what might have been.

My old boss had a Renault 5 Turbo 1(Group 4) rally car with an ex works engine and all the paperwork from the import. He took me for a 'spin' on some back roads in Warwickshire in 1996. On full boost, it was nothing short of immense and with the airfix build it changed direction like a mosquito.

Despite the cage and harness, I really wouldn't have wanted a crash in one. The front engine bay was empty for starters with just some signs of R&D by Renault for a future 4wd drive system. Will never forget that 0-60mph / 100mph. With the turbo spooled-up, it was near as dammit instant.

The car is probably worth a small fortune now.

Kindest,

Jonathan

Default my 2017 project

I bought this Raider a couple of days ago and i attend to restore it as a garage queen. It will be a long way project. I've started to collect the parts of the interior and the exterior. It is an original Raider.

The Raider on the e-bay looks really pristine but unfortunately it is not a LHD..
