Default Interior trim warranty

Hi, I know there is a 60k miles limit on the comp warranty for interior trim, however ever my car is 50k and the passenger door closure trim (door aperture, mostly b post) has failed, is this going to be a problem on the warranty? If it is ok, what else interior wise can be claimed? Kick plates have corroded

Do you mean the seal? I would like to think it would be covered, but would it be classed as wear and tear?

I know the kick plates are not covered, I think mine is on its 3rd set now. They're expensive friggers.

This wear and tear business is such utter bollox! Everything is wear and tear, they changed a front wishbone because of play in the ball joint, don't tell me that's not down to wear and tear. I also have a failed exhaust coupling, now that really isn't wear and tear, it's rock solid, no play, no movement and has cracked through. Fortunately it hasn't caused any gas escape but I don't think they'll be changing that on the warranty. Good job I've just bought a shiny supersprint back box

I've had both door aperture seals fail on my car, plus my kick plates have corroded.

The door aperture seals are a problem on any M3 - I had an E46 previously and both sides failed. One cause can be trying to open the door when the car is iced up in winter. In any case, BMW wasn't interested when I tried to get them replaced under warranty. Ditto the kick plates. I ended up replacing one of the door seals and Elms were nice to me and waived some of the costs, on the basis of some other work they were doing.

Both my kickplates need replacing

Door seals aren't covered by warranty and most certainly shouldn't be at 50k in any case. Fair wear and tear, get your wallet out.

From experience this seems to be accurate
