Greatest Gigs . . .
Yanto's new avatar has brought back a few memories for Ben, Shim and myself . . . so its possibly time for a trip down memory lane to think about those greatest gigs!
If you're easily bored - look away now. Donington 1983 - Monsters of Rock ! Dio - first and only time I witnessed rock's greatest voice Diamond Head Twisted f**kin' Sister - silenced a few critics with shock, awe and eyeliner ZZ Top - they were veterans back then an they're still avin it. I remember their Eliminator swinging over the crowd suspended off a helicopter Meatloaf - again, still going - on that day necking full bottles of spirits in one Headliners Whitesnake when Coverdale still had a voice, soul and the blues instead of selling out for hairspray and Tawny Carcrash - dualling helicopters diving overhead which would surely not be allowed these days. Some RIPs: Tommy Vance Ronnie James Dio Mel Galley Jon Lord Cozy Powell Coverdale's soul |

Saw The Damned few weeks before Christmas and Captain Sensible still has it.
The Jam a few years back were terrific Most memorable, and brought back as saw documentary about him recently, was John Cooper Clarke before he went totally of the rails. |

pink floyd live at chantilly in paris in 1994. There with another 250k plus people.
pink floyd at earls court in 94. Whole of dark side of the moon live. rolling stones live at old wembley stadium for bridges of babylon tour. Smashed but it was rocking. Saw then at twickenham stadiun for Bigget bang tour. Was two rows from keef when the stage extended!! oasis oct 94 live at earls court for whats the story, plus the maine road gig. also oasis live in berlin (was over there at uni doing a year abroad) in dec 93 for definately maybe in a room of about 500 people. Brits at the front!! U2 at twickenham in 2005 was a bit special. Stadium was a 15 min walk. Got day two for free almost :-) stone roses in 93 at hacienda. Epic. done a few raves as well ... Raindance in essex was always good with the prodigy. Berwick manor in rainham in the early 90s was great as was Orange at the rocket in north london.
