Default Airbox Intake Mesh

Only noticed today that I should have a mesh in the front bumper intake for the airbox, but I don't.

Anyway, wouldn't mind getting one for it but can't seem to find anyone on-line who sells them (OEM part no is 51117895883 I think). Do I have to head to the dealers?

I think in this case, it might have to be the dealers mate.

I bought a replacement hose for the intake there, and have the fun job of removing the bumper to fit it next time home. Will be making sure I've got a duvet out to protect it after removing cause knowing me, I'll fall over the thing and trash it.

What about www.BMMiniparts.co.uk? They should be able to get it for you and mail you it for less than the dealers.

A couple of boys I know from bmwccscotland started it a couple of years ago and always offer very good discounts. How much were the dealers wanting for it, did you find out?

I bought loads for the E36 from them, and occasional wee thing for the CSL too.

Yeah, seems like a good site. I didn't check as I f'ing hate having to go to the dealers

Would even have paid a premium to avoid it, although that price seemed reasonable to me
