Hi. This is my first post on this site so please forgive me if I am asking obvious questions that have previously been asked. I am currently looking for a low mileage, Grey, CSL, ideally with a BMW warranty. I have seen a couple that I like but without the warranty. Am I right in saying that if it has a FBMWSH there is an option to purchase a warranty. If this is correct how do I go about it and how good is the warranty?
Any help would be much appreciated. Very keen to get one ASAP! ![]() |

Full details are here:
http://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk/Pages/Home.aspx Basically you can add warranty to any car with mileage <100K if the manufacturer's service requirements have been complied with. You can ring them to get a quote for any car you're considering buying. It's a lot more expensive after 60K miles.

Hi and welcome
Yes you can add bmw warranty to the csl it must have a full service history the first service must be under 2000 miles. Call bmw warranty and give them the reg and ask if the warranty can be added to the car and they can give you the prices and options ![]() |

Thanks for the info. Hoping to find one whith sub 60K miles within my budget. When I find the right one, if it doesnt have warranty I will give them a call for a price and take it from there.
Thanks again. ![]() |

Quick tip!
Added one to mine also about a month ago but with 34k on clock. Remember to pay monthly and then call up on month 11 to change your excess and then you get to pay the normal charge rather than the over the top expired warranty price ![]() Billy |

Ok, this is for anyone who has taken out warranty after it has expired.
For the first year you end up paying extra as the warranty has lapsed. But if you ring up on month 11th, after your 11th monthly payment has been processed and change your excess or type of policy cover you get it at the normal bmw rate (ie the rate it would of been if your car had always had warranty that has never lapsed). I double checked this again with Mondial today as I had to give them my p/plate details. Keep this to yourselfs before the rest of the world start doing it ![]() |
