Question Thoughts on...price/interior...

'lo all. Been a long time since I've been on here. And since my CSL has been SORN since May, I think its time to accept the facts and sell it on.

The bits I've added
a) Alcon "CSL Cup" brake kit all round
b) Intrax 1K2 suspension
c) Turner limit kit
d) Supersprint exhaust (centre with resonator, sports cats and lightweight backbox)

Currently its in track shape ie interior has been removed for cage and buckets/harnesses.

My initial question to anyone with an opinion - do you think its better off to sell as it is (caged/buckets), or put the original interior back in? I'm thinking the latter.

I'm also thinking that selling with the intrax/supersprint makes the car far more marketable and I doubt that replacing the originals then trying to punt on the parts would make more cash, again open to opinions here. (I don't have the original brakes so the car has to sell with the csl cup kit)

Lastly - what does anyone think would be the "going rate" for this kind of spec/mileage?

TIA

heh no worries. I'm literally looking for opinion on whether to return it to standard or not - clearly it would be far easier to sell the car as it is but I guess in my mind the two scenarios are

a) Caged with buckets/harnesses = could be read as "track slag", not something you could enjoy at the weekend with the wife and so perceived to be lesser value

b) With the original interior - a well kept CSL with a nice collection of up-market mods.

I was hoping that given the latter scenario, it might fetch close to 30k - is that optimistic or realistic ?

Personally I'd strip it, put it back to standard and sell the parts on, you'd probably return more money and open your market up on a standard car too.

Selling on here I may be tempted to sell at it's current spec. The majority of forum members would not see your mods as a negative. However your reasoning for returning the car to oem spec is probably the best route should you wish to widen your potential buying market and advertise on PH and Autotrader etc.
Supersprint and Intrax will sell promptly on here. The buckets may fair better on the site we can't mention. The BBK is a popular mod on the cesil though AP's tend to be the preferred option.

Hmmmmmmmm

Can't recal mileage but I'd normally say put it back to standard and sell a/m parts seperately.

Mileage is currently 57k so whilst no unused spring chicken, not quite the oil burner either.

its now in the good hands of UB to be put back to standard. It would appear I had undervalued the resale value of some of those parts!

I would advise returning it standard spec, appeals to everyone and maximize the resale value, by selling the parts separately.
Were all looking for Parts of some sort or another, so shouldn't have a problem in selling separately.
