Asking such questions on M3 CSL forum won't give you the answers.

On here, you have people that think only CSL can take corners fast and everything else is a boat. Also, most are into trackdays and hence the point of view towards... do not buy it.

An M6 is great for B road blast but not so much on track - too heavy. Curb weight is 1785kg (all in)

Ok, i actually had an M6 so i'll give you my advice;

1. Running costs as a daily driver - forget it tbh. 12 - 14mpg is an achievemnt in town but mid 20s on motorway runs. I feel the issue of fuel consumption is magnified by smal tank (73L)

2. M6 which was tested by Chris Harris on Silverstone, did 2 seconds faster than E90 M3.

3. The overtaking power is fcking addictive as is the V10 sound which beats CSL inline 6 on so many levels...

4. M6 is a GT car. Relaxing and refined, quiet.

5. Rock solid in high speeds!!

6. You hardly ever see an M6 on the road

7. There are many things that have been enhanced compared to E60 M5 (i only say this because people always start comparisons) i.e. Aluminium doors, CFRP side wings, CF roof and so on.

8. Faster from rolling start compared to 997 Turbo

9. 200 mph rocket! Exotica teritorry

10. The last V10 M engine derived from F1

My advice is - buy it and i can't see an M6 losing much money. I see some at £19k but tbh. there is a difference between the early and late models.

Now go and buy one in SS II and full leather only!! oh and warranty as well - early models do have certain issues...
